The challenge

INDUS Corporation was looking to win the contract renewal of a US government agency. Localized power outages and routine maintenance were causing the agency's web portal to suffer significant periods of downtime. The agency required INDUS to redevelop their existing architecture to provide automated site-to-site resilience in order to maintain availability of their public portal.

The solution

INDUS Corporation and Zeus Technology deployed a dual-site business continuity solution at separate geographical locations using Zeus's resilient load balancing software. INDUS solution consultants received certification from Zeus to develop and maintain the agency's new application infrastructure.

The payback

The agency saw a dramatic improvement in the availability and performance of their web portal. The solution provided component-level resilience between the two site locations and actively monitored the health of both the primary site and the warm standby server hardware, ensuring that 'lights-out' hardware failures were detected before the hardware needed to be used.
